Jake Masters has held a variety of roles in their career. In 2019, they were a Cashier at Target, where they handled monetary transactions and returns, provided excellent customer service through in-store interactions and telecommunications, and handled curbside merchandise delivery. In 2021, they worked as a Waiter at Prato 850, providing excellent wait service to ensure satisfaction, taking customer orders, delivering food and beverages, making menu recommendations, answering questions, and sharing additional information with restaurant patrons. From 2020 to 2022, they were a Research Assistant and Undergraduate Researcher at Clemson University, where they were responsible for growing cardiac cell tissue samples to deduce regeneration viability, utilized multiplex stain to image and analyze cells through EVOS microscopes, and worked closely with a Clemson University PhD team to design miniature heart valves to address congestive heart failure. Jake also worked as an Associate Scientist at Ingenious Targeting Laboratory, where they engineered construct to introduce specific gene modification into mouse genome and performed PCR to extract DNA and analyze for specific gene modifications.

Jake Masters attended Clemson University from 2018 to 2021, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry. Jake also obtained a certification in BioHacker: Bioinformatics from Praxis AI in March 2022.
