Kaila Davis

Kaila Davis has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in education and community engagement. Kaila is currently serving as the Director of Family and Community Engagement at Ingenuity Prep. Prior to this, they worked at Communities In Schools (CIS) of Chicago, where they held the positions of Senior School Partnership Specialist and School Partnership Specialist. In these roles, they developed strategies for creating partnerships between schools, organizations, and institutions, and facilitated training and networking events.

Before joining CIS of Chicago, Kaila worked at Prince George's County Public Schools, where they served as Grade Level Chairperson, Third Grade Educator, Positive Behavior Interventionist Chairperson, Second Grade Educator, Positive Behavior Interventionist, and Kindergarten Teacher. Kaila ensured high attainable goals for students, continuously improved their knowledge and pedagogy, and built strong relationships with students, parents, and the community.

Additionally, Kaila gained experience as a Curriculum Specialist Intern at Project Northstar, where they contributed to curriculum planning and tutoring programs for homeless youth. Kaila also worked as an Early Head Start Instructor at the Arkansas Human Development Corp and as a Servant Leader at the Children's Defense Fund.
