Chelsea Grindle

Chelsea Grindle's work experience begins with their role as a Statistics and Data Mining Intern at Quicken Loans in 2012. Chelsea then moved on to Truven Health Analytics where they worked as a Healthcare Analytic Intern, focusing on algorithms to detect fraud and abuse in healthcare. In 2013, they also served as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan.

Chelsea entered the professional field in 2014 as a Program Specialist with the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, assisting with data collection instrument design. The following year, they became a Research Associate at the Michael Allen Company, where they developed search strategies and built datasets for project-specific modeling.

In 2016, Chelsea joined IBM as a Senior Data Scientist and Strategy Consultant. Chelsea'sresponsibilities included addressing clients' analytical challenges by defining business problems, formulating mathematical approaches, gathering data, and presenting the findings. Within IBM, they also held the role of Managing Data Scientist and Strategy Consultant from 2018 to 2021. In 2021, they were promoted to Principal Data Scientist, a position they held until April 2023.

Chelsea Grindle completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Statistics at Carnegie Mellon University from 2008 to 2012. Chelsea then pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Biostatistics at the University of Michigan from 2012 to 2014. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including the IBM AI Skills Academy Technical Practitioner from IBM in May 2019, the Sequence Models certification from Coursera in April 2019, and the Convolutional Neural Networks certification from Coursera in February 2019, among others.
