Juan Claude Formanek

Claude Formanek has work experience in two companies. From January 2023, they have been working as a Junior Research Engineer at InstaDeep Ltd. Prior to that, they were a Research Intern at the same company from January 2021 to January 2023. Before joining InstaDeep Ltd, Claude worked as a Data System Developer at Advance Africa Management Services. Claude was involved in developing a data management system for the aquaculture sector in Seychelles in collaboration with the Seychelles government. Claude continues to provide support to Advance Africa on similar projects.

Claude Formanek has an extensive education history, with degrees and certifications in various fields. Claude started their education at Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg, where they obtained a High School Diploma between 2011 and 2015.

Continuing their academic journey, Claude enrolled at the University of Cape Town from 2016 to 2019, earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. After completing their undergraduate studies, Claude pursued further specialization in computational and applied mathematics, obtaining an Honours degree from the same university in 2020.

Building upon their knowledge, Claude pursued a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Cape Town, which they completed between 2021 and 2022. To further enhance their expertise in this field, Claude obtained an additional certification in Advanced Machine Learning on Google Cloud from Coursera in December 2020.

Claude Formanek's pursuit of knowledge did not stop there. In 2023, they embarked on a Ph.D. journey in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Cape Town, which they are expected to complete in 2024.

Outside of their academic pursuits, Claude also holds a German Language Diploma C1 from the Goethe-Institut e.V., which they obtained in November 2015.
