Alexandre Nassif

Alexandre Nassif is a seasoned power systems research engineer currently serving as a Senior Power Systems Research Engineer at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory since June 2024. With extensive experience in the energy sector, Alexandre holds significant roles within the IEEE Power & Energy Society as an Associate Editor and Senior Editor for various IEEE Transactions. Previous positions include Manager of Technology Innovation and Principal Quantitative Engineer at LUMA Energy, alongside various engineering roles at ATCO Electric and Hydro One. Alexandre is also an academic with teaching experience as an Assistant Teaching Professor at the University of Alberta and has contributed to research initiatives in collaboration with numerous universities and utilities. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Power Systems and Power Electronics from the University of Alberta and a Post-Doctorate from Ryerson University.
