Jerod Hurst

Jerod Hurst began their work experience as a Laboratory Assistant at Ohio Northern University in 2010, where they assisted students in chemistry experiments and prepared solutions/samples. In 2011, they interned at Boehringer Ingelheim, working on method development and multivariate analysis. From 2013 to 2016, Hurst served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University at Buffalo. Jerod then joined Merck in 2018 as a Senior Scientist in Analytical Development, where they worked until 2021. In 2021, Hurst worked as an R&D Scientist II at Honeywell before joining Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. as a Senior Scientist. Jerod was later promoted to Principal Scientist at Intellia Therapeutics, Inc. in 2024.

Jerod Hurst completed their education at the University at Buffalo, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Analytical Chemistry in 2018. Prior to that, they attended Ohio Northern University from 2009 to 2013 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemistry.
