Chris Gasink

Senior Vice President, Medical Affairs at Intercept Pharmaceuticals

Chris Gasink has a strong background in medical affairs and clinical research, particularly in the field of gastroenterology. Chris is currently working as the Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs at Intercept Pharmaceuticals. Prior to that, Chris worked at The Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson for over a decade. During their time there, they held various roles including Head of Medical Affairs for GI-Immunology, Strategic Lead for the Gastroenterology Therapeutic Area, and Senior Director of Clinical R&D for Immunology-Gastroenterology. Chris also worked as an Associate Director at Centocor R&D, a subsidiary of Johnson and Johnson, and as an Instructor in Medicine at the Hospital of the University of PA. Chris completed their fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Pennsylvania.

Chris Gasink attended TJHSST for high school from 1985 to 1989. Chris then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Public Policy at William & Mary from 1989 to 1993. Following this, they pursued a medical degree, earning an M.D. from the University of Virginia School of Medicine between 1993 and 1998.
