Deric Simmons

Deric Simmons, MBA, has a diverse work experience spanning over 25 years. Deric is currently working as the Head of Talent Management at Intercontinental Terminals Company, LLC since March 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Global Director - Organizational Development & Learning at Precision Drilling from June 2013 to February 2022. Deric has also held the position of Director, Learning & Development at Noble Drilling from February 2007 to June 2013. Before transitioning into the corporate sector, Deric worked as a Detective at the Alexandria Police Department from 2002 to 2007. Deric started their career at UPS as an Outbound Operations Supervisor from 1997 to 2002.

Deric Simmons, MBA, has a diverse education history spanning several years. Deric first attended Northwestern State University from 1994 to 1998, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.) in Criminal Justice. During the same period, they also obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in General Studies.

In 2010, Deric engaged in executive education at Southern Methodist University, focusing on The Essentials of Finance and Accounting. This provided him with specialized knowledge in these areas. Subsequently, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Finance at Texas Southern University. This program equipped him with a comprehensive understanding of finance in the business context.

Furthering their education, Deric enrolled as a PhD candidate in Education (Global Training and Development) at Northcentral University from 2014 to 2017. This PhD program represents their current educational trajectory.

Additionally, in 2013, they attended the Center for Creative Leadership's 360 Assessment Certification Workshop, enhancing their skills in organizational assessment.
