Xin Cong

Xin Cong has a diverse work experience with a focus on research and development in the field of mass spectrometry. They have served as the VP of Translational Science and Development at InterVenn Biosciences, where they provided leadership in research and development activities. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Director of Pre-clinical R&D at the same company, leading the launch of a glycoproteomics biomarker LDT for ovarian cancer screening.

Before joining InterVenn Biosciences, Xin Cong worked at Thermofisher Scientific as a Staff Scientist, where they were involved in LC-MS/MS method development and validation for IVD clinical analyzers. They also conducted pre-feasibility and feasibility testing for clinical analyzer product design.

At Verseon Corporation, Xin Cong worked as a Scientist, focusing on in vitro ADME drug screening assays and bioanalysis service for preclinical pharmacokinetics (PK) studies. They also developed LC-MS methods for new preclinical drug screening assays.

Xin Cong's earlier work experience includes roles at Fitbit, UCLA, Procter & Gamble, and Buck Institute. At Fitbit, they established workflows for mass spectrometry-based characterization of small molecule compounds, managed projects and instruments, and facilitated collaborative research. At UCLA, they served as a Senior Development Engineer and Lab Manager, providing technical support for mass spectrometry instrumentation and experimentation. They also supported collaborative research by designing experimental protocols.

Xin Cong's postdoctoral experience includes positions at Procter & Gamble and Buck Institute, where they conducted research in their respective areas of focus. Xin Cong earned a PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Davis, where they studied from 2001 to 2006.
