Katherine Scott

Katherine Scott has a diverse work experience spanning over many years. Katherine is currently working as a Developer Relations Engineer at Intrinsic since 2022. Prior to that, they served as a Board Member at the Open Source Hardware Association starting from 2018. In the same year, they also worked as a Code Nation Mentor / Educator, where they taught front-end web development to high school students. Katherine joined Open Robotics in 2019 as a Developer Advocate. Previously, they served as an Image Analytics Team Lead at 3Scan from 2018 to 2019. Before that, Katherine held roles at Planet as an Image Analytics Team Lead from 2017 to 2018 and as a Senior Software Engineer from 2016 to 2017. Katherine co-founded Tempo Automation in 2014, where they worked as a Software Lead until 2015. Katherine also worked as a Computer Vision Engineer at Essess, Inc. from 2013 to 2014 and as a Director of Research and Development at SightMachine from 2011 to 2013. Katherine began their career as a Research Engineer at Cybernet Systems Corporation, where they worked from 2005 to 2010.

Katherine Scott pursued their education at the University of Michigan from 2000 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) with a focus on Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. Following this, they went on to attend Columbia Engineering from 2010 to 2011, obtaining a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science, specializing in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Graphics.
