Nayna Sanathara is currently the Director, Scientific Communications Lead at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. With a background in pharmacology, biology, and molecular biology, Nayna has held various roles in medical writing, scientific communications, and research in prestigious organizations such as Ascendis Pharma, AbbVie, and Allergan. Nayna's experience includes developing pivotal trial manuscripts, mentoring new medical writers, and conducting research in areas such as pharmacokinetics and neurocircuitry. With a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from UC Irvine, Nayna brings a strong scientific background to their current role in leading scientific communications at Ionis Pharmaceuticals.
