Violet Snell

Violet Snell has extensive work experience in the field of AI, software engineering, and academia. Violet is currently working as the Head of Platform AI at iProov. Prior to this, they held the position of Head of AI at JENOPTIK Traffic Solutions and also worked as a Senior Research Engineer at the same company. Violet has also worked as an Instructor at Code First Girls and as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Portsmouth. Additionally, they have held positions such as Principal Software Engineer at Snell Advanced Media and Lecturer at Southampton Solent University and Farnborough College of Technology. Violet's early work experience includes research and engineering roles at the University of Surrey and Snell, where they focused on automated analysis, software development, and research in the field of digital video content.

Violet Snell holds a MEng degree in Engineering and Computing Science, which they obtained from the University of Oxford between 1992 and 1996. Later, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Vision at the University of Surrey, which they completed from 2010 to 2014. In addition, they also earned a Grad. Cert. in Teaching & Learning, focusing on HE teaching, from the University of Surrey between 2013 and 2014.
