Joanne Griffin has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2009, they worked as an Interim CFO at RGP before transitioning to Flogas as a Senior Financial Controller, where they managed finance operations. In 2010, they became a Technology Committee Member at Chartered Accountants Ireland, contributing to the development of IT-related curriculum and providing guidance on emerging technology issues. From 2013 to 2019, Joanne held multiple roles at LinkedIn, including Finance Director and Global Program Manager. Joanne also served on the Board of Directors and was responsible for global process ownership and optimization. In 2017, they joined CWIT Ireland as a Steering Committee Member and participated in initiatives to support women in the tech industry. In 2020, Joanne founded Humology, an organization focused on discussing the implications of advancing technology, and AdaptIQ, dedicated to preparing teams for the future of work. Joanne also co-founded IrelandTogether, a non-profit group aimed at finding innovative solutions to the challenges brought by the COVID-19 crisis. Recently, in 2021, they became a Global Business Services Counsellor at Sourcing Change, utilizing their industry-insider expertise. Throughout their career, Joanne has demonstrated a passion for driving innovation, improving processes, and leading teams through times of change and uncertainty.

Joanne Griffin has a diverse education history. Joanne attended Scoil Chaitriona from 1987 to 1992, where they did not pursue a specific degree or field of study. After completing their secondary education, Joanne enrolled at Dublin City University from 1992 to 1995 and obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting & Finance with Honors.

Continuing their education, Joanne pursued a Master of Business Studies degree in Accounting at Dublin City University from 1996 to 1997. Afterward, they attended Chartered Accountants Ireland from 1997 to 1999, gaining the professional designation of FCA (Fellow Chartered Accountant).

In addition to their formal education, Joanne has acquired several additional certifications throughout their career. Notably, in 2014, they obtained a certification in Conscious Business from LinkedIn. More recently, they received a variety of certifications in areas such as Behavioral Economics in Action from edX in 2023, Digital Disruption and Change Management, both recognized by Thinkers360 in 2022, and Foundations of Humane Technology from the Center for Humane Technology in 2021.

Joanne also completed various courses, including Foundations in Design Thinking, Insights for Innovation, and From Ideas to Action - Foundations in Design Thinking, all from IDEO U in 2019. Additionally, they completed a course in Learning Microsoft Power BI Desktop (2016) offered by LinkedIn in 2018 and became a Leader of Impact through the American Chamber of Commerce Ireland in the same year.
