Robert Turney

Robert Turney has a strong background in cybersecurity, with their most recent position being Head of Cyber Security at iSelect since September 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Australia Post as a Cyber Risk and Governance Manager from February 2021 to September 2022, and in the role of Security Engagement from September 2019 to February 2021. Robert also has experience working as a Data Protection Assurance Advisor at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (Vic) from June 2015 to February 2016, and as an Information Security Specialist at the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, Victoria, Australia from April 2014 to June 2015. Before that, they held positions as an Information Security Consultant at Medibank from July 2011 to April 2014, a Security Specialist at the Department of Justice and Regulation, Victoria, Australia from July 2006 to August 2010, a Security Architect at Victoria Police from February 2006 to July 2006, and an Information Security Officer at South East Water from February 2004 to November 2005.

Robert Turney has a Master's degree in Information Technology from Monash University. Robert has also obtained additional certifications including the RSAC CISO Bootcamp from RSA Conference in 2023 and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ISC2 in 2005.
