Ernesto Cordova

Ernesto Cordova has extensive experience in the energy industry, with a focus on power generation and distribution. Ernesto most recently worked as the Vice President Corporate Operations at Itafos starting in 2016. Prior to that, they held various management positions at AEI Services, including General Manager of Fenix Power in Peru, General Manager of Jaguar Energy in Guatemala, and General Manager of Calidda in Peru. Ernesto also served as the General Manager of EcoElectrica in Puerto Rico and the Executive Director of Constellation Power in Guatemala and El Salvador. Early in their career, Cordova worked as a Managing Director, General Manager, and Director of Business Development at Coastal Power. Ernesto began their career as a Consultant at the World Bank.

Ernesto Cordova obtained their Ph.D. in Energy Management and Policy from the Center for Energy and the Environment at the University of Pennsylvania. Ernesto attended this institution from 1988 to 1995.

Prior to their Ph.D., Cordova pursued their M.A. in Energetics and Economics at New York University. Ernesto was enrolled in the Departments of Applied Science and Economics from 1986 to 1988.

Before embarking on their graduate studies, Cordova completed their undergraduate education at The University of Texas at Austin. Ernesto earned a B.A. in Business Administration, attending the university from 1979 to 1984.
