Passive Safety Performance Engineer at Italdesign

Gregorio Bergeretti has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Gregorio began their career as a CAE Engineer at CRF in 2011. Gregorio then joined Akka Technologies, where they worked as a CAE Engineer and RAMS Engineer from 2012 to 2014. In 2013, they briefly worked as a CAE Engineer at Akka Technologies again.

From 2014 to 2019, Gregorio served as a Passive Safety Engineer and later as a Passive Safety Performance Engineer (consultant in Ferrari) at CSI S.p.A. During this time, they managed the passive safety plans for Ferrari programs and ensured that all tests were conducted in a timely manner while meeting internal and legislative requirements.

In 2019, Gregorio joined McLaren Automotive Ltd as a Passive Safety Principal Engineer. Gregorio was responsible for overseeing the passive safety plan for McLaren programs, ensuring that tests were executed within budget and on schedule. Gregorio also defined internal processes and managed one resource reporting to him. Additionally, during the COVID outbreak, they performed the electronical commissioning of vehicles for crash testing and provided support to Vehicle Validation.

In 2022, Gregorio moved to Silk Sports Car, where they held the position of Passive Safety Vehicle Line Manager. In this role, they were responsible for the passive safety development of a vehicle line, from target definition to the start of production. Gregorio achieved the desired performance in crash tests and homologation of the vehicle, as well as defined the restraint system architecture and components.

Most recently, in 2023, Gregorio took up a role as a Passive Safety Performance Engineer at Italdesign.

Gregorio Bergeretti obtained their Bachelor's degree in Ingegneria aerospaziale, aeronautica e astronautica from Politecnico di Torino, from 2005 to 2009. Gregorio then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Politecnico di Torino from 2009 to 2011.
