Samuel James Bliss

Samuel James Bliss has extensive work experience in software engineering and technology support. Samuel James is currently working as a Senior Software Engineer (React Native) at Jane Technologies, Inc. since 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Carbon Five starting from 2021.

From 2018 to 2021, Samuel worked at Compassion International as a Software Developer. During this time, they were responsible for developing and maintaining an Android app used by churches in 26 partner countries to take photos of Compassion's sponsored children. Samuel James also developed and maintained Compassion's React-Native UI component library and golang microservice endpoints for the app's backend. Additionally, they gained experience as a Global Tech Support Intern at Compassion International for a short period in 2018.

Before joining Compassion International, Samuel worked as a Computer Technician at Bradley County Schools from 2016 to 2017. Samuel James also gained relevant experience in technology support as a Network Analyst Student Worker at Lee University from 2014 to 2016 and as a Helpdesk Technician at Lee University from 2013 to 2014.

Samuel James Bliss completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Science from Austin Peay State University, from the year 2015 to 2018. In addition, they obtained the certification of a Certified SAFe® 4 Practitioner from Scaled Agile, Inc. in June 2018.
