Amy D’Angelo

Chief of Staff at Jeremiah Program

Amy D’Angelo is the Chief of Staff at Jeremiah Program. Prior to their current role, they served as the Chief of Schools for High School at Achievement First from June 2006 to July 2021. In this role, they managed and coached High School Regional Superintendents and Vice President of Great Teaching. From July 2005 to June 2006, D’Angelo was a New Leaders for New School Resident Principal at PS 131 Abigail Adams School, where they were selected as one of 15 New Leaders for New Schools Residents (<5% acceptance rate of NYC applicants) for a year-long program designed to recruit and develop next generation of outstanding school leaders. Prior to their work in education, D’Angelo was a Financial/Research Analyst & Business Administrator at McKinsey & Company from July 1998 to June 2002. D’Angelo began their career as a Teacher in the Community Language Program at Teachers College, Columbia University from September 1998 to June 2002.

Amy D’Angelo has a Master of Arts in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from Teachers College, Columbia University. Amy also has a Master of Science in Education from Pace University's Educational Leadership Program and a Master of Science in Teaching from Pace University. Her undergraduate degree is in Anthropology & International Studies from Binghamton University, where they graduated cum laude. Amy also has a high school diploma from The Ursuline School.

Amy D’Angelo reports to Chastity Lord, President & CEO. They work with Humberto Cruz-Chavarría - Director of Second Generation Programming, Heather Asp - Director of Talent Management, and Gloria Gonzales-Dholakia - Executive Director, Austin.
