Amanda McCarthy has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Amanda most recently worked as a Senior Manager of People Reporting & Systems at Joby Aviation starting in 2022. Prior to that, Amanda worked at Pattern Energy Group from 2017 to 2022, where they held the positions of Manager of HR Operations and HR Generalist. At Pattern Energy Group, Amanda managed HR operations systems and processes, analyzed employee data, and supported global HR initiatives. Before that, Amanda worked at First Republic Bank from 2013 to 2017, where they held various roles including Human Resources Business Partner Associate, HR Specialist, and HR Staffing Administrator. At First Republic Bank, Amanda provided HR support to over 550 employees, managed staffing processes, conducted data analysis, and provided personalized training to management. Earlier in their career, Amanda also gained experience in accounting and HR management at Jardiniere Restaurant from 2011 to 2013 and performed wine club coordination for Hartford Family Winery from 2008 to 2010. Amanda's work experience started with a role as a Wine Business Institute Student Assistant at Sonoma State University from 2006 to 2008.

Amanda McCarthy, SWP, obtained their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Wine Business Management from Sonoma State University Wine Business Institute, completing their studies from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their degree, they have obtained additional certifications in Employee Relations Law from the Institute for Applied Management & Law, Inc. in July 2016, as well as in Strategic Workforce Planning from the Human Capital Institute (HCI) in April 2016.
