Jay Haynes MD, MSc has extensive work experience in the medical field. From 2004 to present, they have held various roles at JPS Health Network, including Senior Medical Director, Senior Vice President and Medical Director, and Chief Medical Officer. Jay has also worked as an Associate Professor at TCU UNTHSC School of Medicine from 2017 to 2021. Currently, they are a Professor of Family Medicine at Texas Christian University Medical School. Additionally, they have served as a Board Member at Tarrant County Hospital District from 2000 to 2004.

Jay Haynes MD, MSc completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology at Rhodes College from 1977 to 1981. Jay then attended Louisiana State University School of Medicine in Shreveport, where they earned their MD in Medicine from 1981 to 1985. Following their medical degree, Jay Haynes completed a Family and Community Medicine residency at John Peter Smith Family Medicine Residency from 1985 to 1988. Later, they pursued further education in Medical/Health Management, obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree from UT Southwestern Medical Center and The University of Texas at Dallas, from 1999 to 2002. In addition to their educational qualifications, Jay Haynes obtained certification from the American Board of Family Medicine in April 2018.
