Markus Giesler is an accomplished academic and editor with extensive experience in marketing. Currently serving as an Editor for the Journal of Consumer Research since January 2021, Markus has held various academic positions at the Schulich School of Business, York University, since July 2004, including Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor of Marketing, along with responsibilities as Chair of the Marketing Department and Marketing PhD Program Coordinator. Previous editorial experience includes serving as Associate Editor for a journal from January 2018 to December 2020 and working as a Visiting Scholar at the Kellogg School of Management from July 2000 to July 2003. Markus holds a Ph.D. in Marketing, an MBA specializing in Marketing, and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics, all from Universität Witten/Herdecke.
