The Company manufactures and markets original equipment and parts, and performs services for both underground and surface mining, as well as certain industrial applications. Its equipment is used in mining regions to mine coal, copper, iron ore, oil sands, gold, and other minerals and ores. It operates through two segments: Underground Mining Machinery (Underground) and Surface Mining Equipment (Surface). It produces electric mining shovels, blasthole drills, walking draglines and wheel loaders for open-pit mining operations. In addition to life cycle management support, its Underground segment and Surface segment provides equipment assemblies, relocations, inspections, upgrades, used equipment, service, repairs, rebuilds, parts, consumables, enhancement kits and training to customers across the world.
