Tina Wang has over a decade of experience in the research and development field. Tina began their career in 2006 as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Santa Cruz. In 2009, they became a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Graduate Student Researcher at California Polytechnic State University. In 2009, they moved to California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. In 2013, they became a Molecular Biologist at HM.CLAUSE. In 2014, they became the Laboratory Manager at BioConsortia, Inc., where they helped build a laboratory and implemented health and safety regulations. In 2017, they became an Operations Manager at Miraculex, collaborating with scientists to set up experiments and working with government agencies. In 2018, they became the Director of Laboratory Operations at the Joint BioEnergy Institute, where they provided leadership and oversight for the research divisions and programs. In 2021, they began their current role as the Director of Program Management at Oobli (formerly Joywell Foods), where they build and manages all elements of R&D project and program lifecycles.
Tina Wang has a M.S. in Biological Sciences from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, which they obtained from 2008 to 2010. Tina also has a B.S. in Earth Sciences from University of California, Santa Cruz, which they obtained from 2004 to 2008. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including a Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in June 2020, a Certificate in Project Management from UC Berkeley Extension in March 2020, a Women in Leadership Fall 2019 Cohort from Coro Northern California in November 2019, and a Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) from the Scrum Alliance in January 2021.
