Maritza R.

Maritza R.'s work experience includes various roles and internships in several organizations. Maritza served as the Chapter President for Junior State of America (JSA) starting in August 2021. Maritza also held the positions of Vice Chair of the National Council of Governors and Arizona Governor for JSA. Maritza was previously the Arizona Lieutenant Governor for JSA from December 2021 to May 2022.

In 2022, Maritza worked as a Research intern for the Babst-Kostecka Lab and STAR Lab at UArizona BIO5 Institute. Maritza also served as a Fall Fellow for the Arizona Democratic Party from October to November 2022. Additionally, Maritza participated in the KEYS Internship program at UArizona BIO5 Institute from April to August 2022.

In 2023, Maritza held various roles, including being a High School Ambassador for the League of Women Voters, a Summer Seminar Scholar at Telluride Association, a Server at Jeremiah's Italian Ice, a Student Participant in UNIDAS Teen Philanthropy for the Women's Foundation for the State of Arizona, and a 2023 Civic Spring Fellow for the Institute for Citizens & Scholars. Maritza also worked as a Researcher in Estuary Conservation for CEDO Centro Intercultural de Estudios de Desiertos y Océanos in 2021 and 2023.
