Saami Baig

Saami Baig has held various roles in different organizations throughout their work experience. They served as the Co Executive Director at March For Our Lives Houston from 2021 to the present, where they also worked as a Legislation Sublead and a Legislation Member. At Junior State of America (JSA), Baig served as the Chapter President and the Texas Deputy Director of Activism from 2022 to the present. They also held leadership positions at The John Cooper School as the Student Body Vice President, the Junior Class Vice President, and the 9th Grade Vice President from 2022 to the present. Additionally, Baig worked as a Youth Advisor at NORC at the University of Chicago from 2023 to the present, contributing to a nationally representative multi-wave survey on firearm violence perpetration among youth. They also served as a Representative at Harris County, providing policy recommendations as an appointee from 2022 to 2023. Baig's work experience also includes roles such as Media Project Director at Capital IDEA Houston in 2021 and Chapter Activism Chair at JSA in 2021 and 2022.
