Zhangir Kapishov

Zhangir Kapishov has a strong background in the field of IT and DevOps. Zhangir started their career as a Network Engineer intern at KazTransOil in 2021, where they gained experience in network configuration, troubleshooting, and staying updated on networking technologies.

Later, they joined IT-holding Kazdream in 2021 as a DevOps Engineer. In this role, they led Kubernetes cluster administration and troubleshooting, automated application deployments using Helm and Terraform, and streamlined CI/CD processes with GitLab CI/CD.

Due to their exceptional performance, Zhangir was rapidly promoted to DevOps Team Lead at Kazdream in September 2022. As a team lead, they were responsible for driving the delivery of 8 key software products with a focus on innovation and quality. Zhangir also orchestrated a large-scale migration of 529 microservices to a hybrid cloud environment, resulting in enhanced system efficiency and reduced operational costs. Additionally, Zhangir founded a DevOps community within the company, organizing quarterly meetups to share knowledge and best practices across a 12-company holding.

Zhangir Kapishov obtained a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunication systems from Astana IT University in 2022. Prior to this, they received a High School Diploma in Physics and Math from Nazarbayev Intellectual Schools in 2019. In 2018, they also attended EF International Language Campuses. In terms of additional certifications, Zhangir obtained the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate certification from HashiCorp in January 2024 and the Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification from The Linux Foundation in November 2023.
