Yousra Hazem Mohamed

Yousra Hazem Mohamed, MASc has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Yousra Hazem currently works at Kinaxis as a Team Lead for Machine Learning Solutions, a role they have held since June 2022. Prior to that, they were a Senior Machine Learning Developer at the same company, starting in January 2022. Yousra Hazem joined Kinaxis as a Machine Learning Developer in July 2020 and stayed until February 2022.

Before joining Kinaxis, Yousra worked as a Data Scientist at Rubikloud Technologies from December 2019 to July 2020.

Earlier in their career, they worked at Emagin, an Innvovyze Company, where they were the Data Science Lead from January 2019 to September 2019. Prior to that, they served as a Data Scientist from June 2017 to December 2018.

Yousra's work experience also includes being a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Waterloo from September 2015 to September 2019. Yousra Hazem focused on investigating semantic analysis algorithms for anomaly detection in text and developed a proposed method based on probabilistic anomaly detection.

Yousra Hazem has also worked at Alcatel-Lucent as a Software Engineer in the Wireless R&D team, where they created licensing algorithms and worked extensively with XML and Excel file parsing.

Yousra's early career included positions at Microsoft as a Software Engineering Intern, where they researched existing games and developed a game using Unity3D, and at The German University in Cairo as a Scrum Master. Yousra Hazem also had a research internship at Intel Labs, where they studied the application of networking technology to live stream video feeds.

Additionally, Yousra worked as a Web Developer at Mash Ltd., where they utilized Ruby on Rails to develop an e-commerce system. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong background in machine learning, data science, software engineering, and web development throughout their career.

Yousra Hazem Mohamed, MASc has a strong educational background in computer engineering. Yousra Hazem completed their Master of Applied Science (MASc) degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo from 2016 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Media Engineering and Technology from The German University in Cairo from 2011 to 2014. Yousra Hazem also has an International General Certificate of Secondary Education from Bashaer International Schools, which they earned from 1996 to 2009, excelling in high levels of Physics, Math, and Accounting. Additionally, Yousra Hazem Mohamed has obtained additional certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) from Scrum Alliance in 2023 and participated in the Kinaxis Hackathon in 2021.
