Curt Hastings

Data Scientist in Residence at Kingfisher Systems

Curt Hastings has extensive work experience in various scientific and advisory roles. Starting in 1998, they worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory until 2000. Curt then joined SurroMed as an Informatics Research Scientist from 2000 to 2002. In 2002, Curt became a Senior Scientist at the Institute for Physical Sciences, where they worked until 2017. During this time, they also worked as a Consultant at Predicant Biosciences from June 2002 to September 2002. In 2013, they co-founded PermissionBit, Inc. Currently, Curt is involved with Kingfisher Systems, Inc., where they hold various roles, including Data Scientist in Residence since February 2019 and Member of the Board of Advisors since April 2016.

Curt Hastings completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Yale University from 1988 to 1992. Curt further pursued their education at Caltech, where they obtained their Ph.D. in Chemistry from 1992 to 1998.
