Michael Anastasakis has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Michael is currently working as a Lead Security Engineer at Klarna since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Verizon as a Senior Security Consultant from February 2019 to May 2021. Before joining Verizon, Michael worked at Secura (formerly known as Madison Gurkha) as a Security Analyst, where they conducted investigations and performed penetration testing on various sectors including finance and government. Michael also interned as a Cyber Security Intern Advisory at KPMG Nederland in 2017. Earlier in their career, Michael worked as a Junior Software Engineer at EWORX S.A. and as a Database Administrator at DIMTECH S.A.

From 2015 to 2017, they pursued a Master's degree in Computer Science at Delft University of Technology.

Prior to that, from 2009 to 2015, they obtained a Diploma (5-year MEng) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens.

In addition to their academic qualifications, they have also obtained various certifications. Some noteworthy certifications include Offensive Security Exploit Developer (OSED) from Offensive Security in April 2022, Certified Red Team Operator from Zero-Point Security Ltd in September 2020, and Offensive Security Web Expert (OSWE) from Offensive Security in May 2020.

Other certifications include SEC545: Cloud Security Architecture and Operations from SANS Institute in January 2020, Certified Red Team Professional from Pentester Academy in November 2019, Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from Offensive Security in September 2019, eCPPT - eLearnSecurity Certified Professional Penetration Tester from eLearnSecurity in June 2018, and eWPT - eLearnSecurity Web Application Penetration Tester from eLearnSecurity in December 2017.
