Virpi Hiljanen

Virpi Hiljanen has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Virpi is currently working at Klarna as the Acting Team Lead for Fraud Detection Nordics & Market Expansion, where they lead a high-performing team, manages staffing and resources, and ensures operational delivery. Prior to this, they held roles as a Senior Fraud Detection Specialist and Fraud Detection Specialist at Klarna. Before joining Klarna, Virpi worked at DHL as a CS Support & Development Specialist and Customer Service Advisor, handling customer shipments and re-deliveries. Virpi also has experience as a Volunteer Team Leader at Nordic Business Forum and as a Sales Assistant at VV-Autotalot Oy / VV-Auto Group Oy. Virpi began their career as a Cashier at Lidl Suomi.

Virpi Hiljanen started their education by obtaining a high school diploma, known as "Ylioppilas," from The English School of Helsinki between the years 2010 and 2013. Virpi then pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in International Business at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences from 2014 to 2017. In 2016, Virpi had the opportunity to participate in an exchange program at IÉSEG School of Management, where they studied International/Global Studies for one year. Later, they enrolled in Uppsala University from 2019 to 2021, where they completed their Master of Arts (MA) degree in Global Environmental History.
