Aviral Vaid

Aviral Vaid has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2012, they worked as a Research Intern at RWTH Aachen University and later at The University of British Columbia in 2013. In 2015, Aviral joined VDM Metals Group as a Technical Intern, where they developed strategies for data analysis and digitization.

In 2016, Aviral became a Research Associate at Friedrich-Alexander-Universität Erlangen-Nürnberg. In this role, they gained expertise in data science, statistical modeling, and parallel computing. Aviral managed research projects, mentored students, and assisted in securing research grants.

In 2020, Aviral transitioned to the Max Planck Society as a Product Manager. Aviral played a pivotal role in developing and executing two products, NOMAD Oasis and Research Data Governance, by conducting stakeholder interviews and aligning internal teams. Aviral also contributed to Python code and design wireframes.

Currently, Aviral is working as a Product Manager AI at kloeckner.i GmbH, where they manage a product that automates purchase order creation from customer emails. Aviral has achieved significant results, including a 33% increase in sales force coverage and the development of a new natural language processing model.

Throughout their career, Aviral has demonstrated strong analytical, technical, and leadership skills, driving digital transformation and improving operations in various organizations.

Aviral Vaid has a strong educational background in materials science and engineering. Aviral obtained a B. Tech degree in Materials Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, where they studied from 2009 to 2013. Aviral then pursued further education at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Materials Science and Engineering from 2013 to 2016. Continuing their academic journey, Aviral Vaid completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Materials Engineering at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg from 2016 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Aviral Vaid has also obtained several certifications to enhance their professional skills. Aviral completed courses such as "Technology for Product Managers" and "Becoming an AI-First Product Leader" from LinkedIn in 2022 and "Product Management: Building a Product Strategy" in 2021.
