Ick Chan Kwon is an accomplished academic and researcher with extensive experience in bioengineering, pharmaceutics, and textile engineering. Currently serving as an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington Bioengineering and a Professor and Dean at the KU-KIST Graduate School of Converging Science and Technology, Kwon has also held significant roles at the Korea Institute of Science and Technology since 1993, including Principal Research Scientist and Director-General of the Biomedical Research Institute. Previously, Kwon served as a Presidential Scholar at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute from 2019 to 2023 and worked as an Editor for the Journal of Controlled Release at Elsevier from 2006 to 2020. Kwon earned a Ph.D. in Pharmaceutics from the University of Utah and holds Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Textile Chemistry and Textile Engineering from Seoul National University, respectively.
