Wilco van Esch

Wilco van Esch has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of Quality Assurance. Wilco has held various roles in different companies, starting from their most recent position as a Lead Quality Assurance at KUBUS BV in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Sendcloud as a QA Architect and Senior QA Engineer, where they played a pivotal role in implementing Agile/DevOps testing practices. Before Joining Sendcloud, Wilco was a Test Manager at 50five, where they defined the strategic roadmap for quality and implemented mature development and testing practices. Wilco also gained experience as a Software Developer In Test at DAZN, where they developed end-to-end UI-level test automation framework for a complex sports streaming service. Wilco has also held positions such as Head of QA at LIDA and QA Manager at M&C Saatchi, where they led the testing efforts and continuously improved the testing process. Prior to that, they worked as a QA Lead/Senior QA Analyst at MRM Meteorite, where they managed full QA lifecycle and developed quality assurance practices. Wilco began their career as a Web Applications Tester at 20:20, followed by roles as an Interactive QA Engineer at BSkyB and a Localisation Tester at Sega.

Wilco van Esch attended De Haagse Hogeschool / The Hague University of Applied Sciences from 2000 to 2006, where they studied Multimedia/Interaction Design. Wilco obtained the Certified Tester Foundation Level certification from ISTQB-BCS in September 2010 and the Advanced Test Manager certification from the same institution in June 2013.
