Grady Bentzel has a diverse work experience in various scientific roles. Grady started their career as a Lab Technician at Y-Carbon, Inc., where they developed and analyzed Carbide Derived Carbon powder. Grady then worked as a Lab Technician at Arkema, assisting in the research and development of a nanostrength additive. Grady also worked as a Lab Technician at Alcoa, where they characterized the preferential attack of certain grain orientations in Al-Li alloys. Grady then joined Drexel University as an Undergraduate Researcher in the Nanomaterials Research Group and the Dynamic Characterization Group. Here, they assisted in research on coin cell super-capacitors and investigated the chemical compatibility and diffusion of various phases for nuclear reactor applications. Grady went on to work as a Research Assistant at Drexel University, participating in research collaborations at Oak Ridge National Laboratory and Argonne National Laboratory. Currently, they hold a position at Kulicke & Soffa as a Senior Process Engineer - Metrology Lead, responsible for the operation and maintenance of various metrology equipment in the laboratory.
Grady Bentzel attended Drexel University from 2007 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Materials Sciences and Engineering. Grady then pursued a Master's degree in the same field at Drexel University from 2012 to 2016.
