Vanja Josifovski

Co-Founder & CEO at Kumo

Vanja Josifovski is the Co-Founder and CEO of Kumo. Prior to Kumo, Vanja was the CTO of Homes at Airbnb from March 2019 to March 2022. At Airbnb, Vanja led an organization that included horizontal groups such as Homes Engineering and Homes Data Science, as well as GM groups such as Marketplace, Relevance and Personalization, and Regulatory Frameworks. Vanja's goal was to make the world a smaller place for everyone.

Prior to Airbnb, Vanja was the CTO and VP Eng at Pinterest from February 2015 to March 2019. As CTO, Vanja was responsible for the overall technical vision and strategy of the company and communicating that to leadership and the teams; hiring and development of technical talent. As VP of Engineering, Vanja managed some of the core eng teams.

Vanja has also served as an advisor and investor for multiple startups and was the Founding Advisor for Kosei from January 2014 to December 2015.

Vanja began their career at Google as a Technical Lead from March 2012 to February 2015.

Vanja Josifovski has earned a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Linköping University, a Masters of Science in Computer Science from the University of Florida, and a Dipl Eng in Computer Science from the University of Ljubljana.
