Dr. Gemma El Sayar has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry. Dr. Gemma currently serves as the Chief Development and Transformation Officer at Labib Medical Center, a position they have held since June 2021. Prior to this, Dr. El Sayar held various leadership roles at the medical center, including Director of Nursing, Coordinator of Cardiac Services, and Nursing Supervisor.

In these roles, they demonstrated expertise in planning, organizing, and evaluating nursing services, providing leadership to large teams of nurses, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality nursing care. Dr. Gemma played a major role in establishing the cardiac center and developed policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and safe operation of the department.

Before joining Labib Medical Center, Dr. El Sayar worked as a Same Day Surgery Head Nurse and Surgical Floor Registered Nurse at another organization. Additionally, they have experience as a Patient Safety and Occupational Health & Safety Officer.

In 2015, Dr. El Sayar worked as a Healthcare Consultant & Trainer at Gates Group Lebanon.

Through their various roles, Dr. Gemma El Sayar has demonstrated a strong commitment to improving healthcare services and delivering exceptional patient care.

Dr. Gemma El Sayar holds a Doctor of Business Administration degree in Human Resources, which they obtained from ESA Business School & Paris 1 Pantheon-Sorbonne between 2016 and 2020. Prior to their doctoral studies, Dr. El Sayar earned a Master's degree in Nursing Administration from Université Saint Joseph from 2005 to 2008. Dr. Gemma also holds a Bachelor's degree in Nursing Science from Lebanese University, which they acquired from 1998 to 2002.

In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. El Sayar has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Dr. Gemma became a Certified Quality and Accreditation Manager (CQAM) through Gates Group & TRACCERT CANADA in August 2020. In September 2017, they received the TUV Certified ISO 9001 2015 certification from Management Mix. Dr. Gemma completed the Patient Experience Development Program with Syndicate of Lebanese hospitals and CAPADEV in February 2017. Furthermore, in November 2015, they participated in the International Practicum on Quality Improvement and Accreditation conducted by Joint Commission International.
