Ellert Arnarson

Ellert Arnarson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Ellert currently holds the position of Head of Corporate Finance at Landsbankinn since March 2022. Prior to this, Ellert served as an Adjunct Instructor at the University of Iceland - Háskóli Íslands, teaching classes at the M.Sc and B.Sc levels in Fixed Income Analysis and Financial Statistics from 2009 onwards. From 2019 to 2022, they worked as an Investment Officer in Asset Management at The Pension Fund of Commerce, focusing on fixed income, private credit, real estate, and private equity. Ellert also served on the Board of Directors for Aur app ehf., Krít Fjármögnunarlausnir, and Framtíðin from 2017 to 2019. Ellert gained experience as a Fund Manager at GAMMA Capital Management from 2013 to 2019, specializing in private equity and private credit funds, leading the establishment of several companies and making investments in fintech platforms. Ellert also worked in Corporate Finance at Straumur Investment Bank in 2012 and as a Data Analyst at DataMarket from 2010 to 2011.

Ellert Arnarson completed a Certificate course in Fintech at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Financial Economics at Háskóli Íslands from 2011 to 2013. Ellert Arnarson's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mathematics, which they obtained from Háskóli Íslands from 2007 to 2010.
