Head Of IT Operations

Leapwork is seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of IT Operations to lead our IT operations team. This pivotal role involves managing our Azure cloud services, hardware resources, infrastructure, and ensuring the secure and efficient operation of our IT environment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in IT management, a strong understanding of cloud services, and a commitment to security and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Strategic IT Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans for IT operations to support business goals, focusing on scalability, security, and efficiency. 
• Cloud Services Management: Oversee the management of Azure cloud services, ensuring optimal performance, cost-efficiency, and compliance with data protection regulations. 
• Hardware and Infrastructure Oversight: Manage the procurement, maintenance, and lifecycle of hardware resources including laptops, phones, and meeting room technology. 
• Internal IT support services. Manage the internal IT service desk operations and performance. 
• Software and Subscription Management: Administer Intune MDM, Microsoft 365, Entra ID, access management including SSO, and other Microsoft subscriptions. 
• Data Protection: Coordinate with the Director of Information Security to implement and manage Veeam backups for key business data and systems. 
• Security Compliance: Implement and manage changes derived from information security analysis or requirements to ensure a secure IT environment. 
• Team Leadership: Hire, mentor, and lead a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement. 
• Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with service providers and vendors to ensure cost-effective and reliable IT services. 
• Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key IT contact for internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on IT initiatives, challenges, and achievements. 
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously assess and improve IT operations processes and practices to increase efficiency and meet evolving business needs. 

Qualifications 

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus. 
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing IT teams. 
• Strong knowledge of Azure cloud services, Microsoft ecosystems (Intune, Microsoft 365, Entra ID), and Veeam backup solutions. 
• Proven ability to manage IT infrastructure, hardware resources, and software subscriptions. 
• Experience in implementing and managing IT security measures. 
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams. 
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. 
• Ability to strategize, plan, and execute IT initiatives aligned with business objectives.
