Charlie Forcey

Charlie Forcey has a strong background in software engineering and development. Charlie is currently working as a Principal Software Engineer at LeaseQuery since 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Logikcull as a Staff Software Engineer, focusing on data engineering from 2022 to 2023. From 2020 to 2022, they served as a Staff Software Engineer at Kajabi.

Before joining Kajabi, Charlie worked at Logikcull as a Senior Software Engineer from 2018 to 2020. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team in managing a document processing pipeline for Legal eDiscovery clients. Charlie successfully refactored the existing pipeline into service objects, domain entity-based modules, and SOLID code patterns.

Charlie also has experience as a Senior Software Architect at Advanced Energy United from 2016 to 2018. There, they combined their passion for alternative energy advocacy with web technologies such as Ruby on Rails, React.js, and Elasticsearch.

Charlie'searlier experience includes roles as a Senior Developer at Pubget, Inc., a partner and technical lead at Firehaus Studio Inc., and a Lead Developer at BMC Software. Charlie also founded Historicus, Inc. in 2001 and served as its President until 2012.

In 2011 and 2012, Charlie worked as a Consulting Developer for ProUnlimited, where they maintained and converted a Ruby on Rails product to Rails 3.2.x. Throughout their career, Charlie has consistently showcased their expertise in software engineering and development, applying their skills across various industries and projects.

Charlie Forcey attended Phillips Exeter Academy from 1984 to 1987, where they studied History. Charlie then went on to Princeton University from 1987 to 1991, earning a B.A. in history and philosophy. Continuing their education, they attended Columbia University from 1991 to 2009, earning an M. Phil. in history.
