Jennifer Atkins

Jennifer Atkins has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical engineering and systems engineering. Jennifer currently holds the position of Lead Systems Engineer at Leica Microsystems since March 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Cytiva (formerly GE Life Sciences) as Lead Systems Engineer from April 2020 to February 2021. Jennifer also has extensive experience at GE Healthcare, where they worked as Lead Systems Engineer for nearly 9 years (May 2011 to March 2020). Before joining GE Healthcare, they worked as an Applications Scientist at Applied Precision, Inc. from May 2005 to June 2011. Jennifer began their career as a Biomedical Engineer at Apogen Technologies from June 2003 to May 2005, and also served as an Intern at the same company from May 2002 to June 2003. Jennifer started their professional journey as a Laboratory Assistant at UC San Diego from June 2000 to January 2002.

Jennifer Atkins attended UC San Diego from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering.
