Karin Fackler

Head Of Pulp And Biorefinery Technology, R&d at Lenzing Group

Karin Fackler has a strong background in research and development, particularly in the areas of pulp and biorefinery technology. Karin started their career at Wood K plus - Kompetenzzentrum Holz GmbH in 2001 as a Senior Researcher and later transitioned to a role as a Gastdozent at Technische Universität Graz in 2008. From 2009 to 2013, they worked as a Wissenschaftlicher Assistent at Technische Universität Wien. In 2013, Fackler joined Lenzing Group, where they served as a Project Manager for Pulp and Biorefinery Technology until 2015. Karin then took on the role of Senior Project Manager for Biorefinery and Wood until 2017. In 2018, they became a Faculty Member at Universität für Bodenkultur Wien and a Gastdozent at IMC Krems University of Applied Sciences. Fackler returned to Lenzing Group in 2018 as the Head of Pulp and Biorefinery Technology, R&D. Additionally, they have been the Chairwoman at Wood K plus - Kompetenzzentrum Holz GmbH since 2019.

Karin Fackler completed their education at Technische Universität Wien. Karin obtained a Habilitation in Bioresource Chemistry in 2011, a Dr. techn. in Technische Chemie in 2001, and a Diiplom Ingenieur in Technische Chemie Biotechnologie in 1998.
