Travis Johnson

VP Operations at Liberty Utilities

Travis Johnson has over 20 years of work experience in the energy industry. Travis began their career at NV Energy in 1999, where they served as a Supervisor in Substation Engineering. In this role, they provided leadership and expertise in substation engineering. From 2005 to 2010, Travis worked as a Manager of Substation Construction & Maintenance at NV Energy. Travis managed a team of up to 70 employees and was involved in the creation of the Renewable Energy Minor program at UNR/UNLV.

In 2010, Travis took on the role of Manager of Electric Transportation & Emerging Technology at NV Energy. Travis was responsible for building the electric vehicle program and securing funding for the deployment of EV charging stations in Nevada. Travis also served as the Project Manager for two utility-scale solar projects totaling 35MW.

Travis joined Liberty Utilities in 2014 as the Director of Utility Planning & Business Development. In this position, they played a key role in strategic planning and business development for the company. In 2015, they were promoted to the role of Vice President of Operations, where they assumed responsibility for overseeing the company's operations.

Travis Johnson obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nevada, Reno, between 1988 and 1993. Travis holds no additional certifications.
