Annie Bich Nguyen

Undergraduate Research Assistant at Lieber Institute for Brain Development

Annie Bich Nguyen has two years of work experience. In 2021, they were a CIRCUIT Fellow at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory, where they participated in a year-long, intensive artificial intelligence research experience. During this time, they worked on a project that utilized deep learning architectures and data augmentation techniques to create machine learning models that can automate the process of brain’s microstructures segmenting. In 2022, they began working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development, where they are optimizing antibodies for Immunofluorescence staining of post-mortem human brain tissue, which is a part of a larger workflow which allows spatial transcriptomic work in studying neuropathology.
