Mike McKenna

Mike McKenna has a long and varied work experience in the financial and sports industries. Mike began their career in 1999 as Manager of Marketing and Commercial Affairs at AFC Ajax. In 2000, they moved to U Sports as Executive Director of the Vanier Cup. Two years later, they joined Union Cycliste Internationale as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for the Road World Cycling Championships. In 2004, they began working at UBS in Canadian Equities Sales and Trading. In 2005, they joined Scotiabank as part of their Telecom, Media and Technology Investment Banking team. During their 10+ years at Scotiabank, they were lead advisor on various transactions for all of the major TMT companies in Canada. In 2016, they founded 25th Mile Capital. In 2017, they joined Mobile Klinik as Chief Financial Officer, Early Stage Investor, and Board Member. Most recently, in 2020, they became Chief Financial Officer of LifeSpeak Inc.

Mike McKenna obtained an MBA from the Ivey Business School at Western University in 2005, with a focus in Finance & Entrepreneurship and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship. Mike also earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology and Physical Education from Wilfrid Laurier University between 1995 and 1999. In 2016, they completed The Search Inside Yourself Program from the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI).
