Johan Andren

Johan Andren began their career in 2011 as a Software Consultant and Scala Developer at Mejsla AB. In 2013, they took on roles as a Java Developer (Consultant) at BrandAirport AB, Databyrån för informationsbehandling, and UnitedLog. Johan also worked as a Scala Developer (Consultant) at Plotagon AB and BrandAirport AB. In 2014, they became a Scala Mentor (Consultant) at Goyada, and in 2015 they were a Scala developer (Consultant) at Baymarkets and a Scala Mentor (Consultant) at NTS (New Technology Sweden). Johan currently works as a Principal Engineer at Lightbend, Inc., where they develop new features and maintains existing ones in Akka and Akka Serverless, as well as delivering trainings and consulting for Lightbend customers.

Johan Andren obtained a Master in Computer Science from Mälardalen University between 2000 and 2004. Johan also attended Westerlundska Gymnasiet, Enköping from 1997 to 2000. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including Principles of Reactive Programming (with distinction) from Coursera in December 2013, Typesafe Certified Playframework Consultant from Typesafe in March 2013, Functional Programming Principles in Scala (with distinction) from Coursera in November 2012, and Typesafe Certified Scala Consultant from Typesafe in November 2012.
