Candi Coleman Mai

Candi Coleman, MAI, has extensive work experience in the appraisal industry. Candi is currently the Head of Lender Strategy and Chief Appraiser at LightBox since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Umpqua Bank from 2014 to 2021, where they held the position of SVP and Chief Appraiser. In this role, they were responsible for managing commercial, residential, and environmental risk functions. Candi also developed and implemented policies and procedures to manage collateral risk and regulatory compliance. Candi produced and delivered training programs for credit authorities, lenders, auditors, and appraisal/environmental staff. Before joining Umpqua Bank, Candi worked at Sterling Bank as a VP and Commercial Appraisal Manager from 2011 to 2014 and as an AVP and Commercial Review Appraiser from 2003 to 2011. Additionally, they served as the Chairman of the City/County at Large and Real Estate Representative at the Spokane Historic Landmarks Commission from 2003 to 2010. Candi also worked as an instructor at Spokane Community College, where they taught appraisal courses approved for pre-examination credit in the state of Washington from 2004 to 2005. Candi started their career as a Commercial Real Estate Appraiser at Lembeck Appraisal & Consulting, Inc. from 2000 to 2003 and as a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser at Cochise Appraisal Service from 1997 to 2000.

Candi Coleman, MAI has a strong education background in the field of appraisal and real estate. Candi is a Designated Member of the Appraisal Institute, indicating their expertise in this area. Candi has also obtained a certification as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser from the State of Washington in 2001.
