Rebecca Schaevitz

Rebecca Schaevitz has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Rebecca is currently working at Lightmatter as the Director of Product Management. Prior to this, they worked at Broadcom Inc. as a Principal Engineer and Product Line Manager. Rebecca also had a role as a Product Manager at Rockley Photonics Inc. In addition, Rebecca has experience at Corning Optical Communications, where they held various positions including Technology Strategy Manager, Solutions Manager for Data Centers, Process Excellence Specialist, Senior Research Scientist, and Research Scientist. Before joining Corning, they worked as a Research Assistant at Stanford University, conducting optoelectronic device research. Rebecca also has experience as a Private Tutor at Tutor Corps and held leadership roles at Stanford Optical Society, including Vice President and Speaker Committee Co-Chair. Rebecca interned at Intel, contributing to research on novel material structures for optoelectronic modulators. Rebecca has a strong academic background, with a mentorship role at Partners for Academic Excellence at Stanford University and serving as a Tutor at the Athletic Academic Resource Center.

Rebecca Schaevitz earned a PhD in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University from 2005 to 2011. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Stanford University from 2005 to 2008. Rebecca completed their undergraduate studies at Tufts University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from 2001 to 2005. Additionally, Rebecca Schaevitz briefly studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Sydney in 2004. Rebecca completed their secondary education at The Branson School from 1997 to 2001.
