Richard Yu

Richard Yu has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Richard currently serves as the Head of Product - Fleet & China at LINE MAN Wongnai, where they oversee the on-demand services team and leads efforts to grow the product in China. Prior to this, Richard worked as an Angel Investor, investing in startups that solve real-world problems with technology and cutting-edge hard tech.

Richard has also co-founded and served as CFO of Cinema Escapist, a non-profit publication that explores global cultures through film and media. Richard managed the business side of the organization, including corporate affairs, finance, and web infrastructure. Additionally, Richard worked at Airwallex as a Product Management Lead, leading a team of senior Product Managers and focusing on global banking solutions.

Before joining Airwallex, Richard was a Product Manager at Facebook, where they built products to help small and medium businesses come online and grow their real-world business outcomes. Richard also founded Wanyo Travel, an application that helps people discover travel activities recommended by friends and social media influencers.

Richard's earlier experiences include roles at Stripe, where they led business development and growth in Greater China, and at Uber, where they served as a Manager for APAC Product Strategy & Planning and later as the Head of China uberPOOL. Richard started their career as the Co-Founder and Engineering Director of BWC Productions, a digital agency that developed prototypes for startups and internet presences for NGOs. Richard also has teaching experience as a Computer Science Instructor at Dartmouth College.

Richard Yu has a BA in Mathematics from Dartmouth College. Richard also participated in a Summer Program in International Economics, Money, and Banking at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). Richard attended Monta Vista High School as well.
