Jen Falding

Strategic Lead For Major Sports Events at Liverpool City Council

Jen Falding has a diverse and extensive work experience in event management and project coordination. Jen began their career in 2000 at the SOCOG Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, where they served as the Spectator Services Venue Manager. Jen then worked as an Event Manager at FMC Limited in 2001 and later as the Rest Overnight Manager for the Queen's Jubilee Baton Relay at the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games.

Following this, Jen held various positions, including Head of Projects and Events at October Communications, Relationship/Operations Manager at Liverpool Culture Company, and Regional Operations Manager at G4S Events. In 2010, they served as the Special Projects Manager for the 2010 Year of Health & Wellbeing at Liverpool City Council.

From 2011 to 2018, Jen worked at Culture Liverpool, Liverpool City Council as the Host City Manager. During this time, they managed the major city trilogy of events, Giant Spectacular, in collaboration with Royal de Luxe, attracting a combined audience of 3.1 million and contributing £138m to the local economy.

In 2019, Jen transitioned to the Liverpool City Council as the Strategic Lead for Major Sports Events. With their wealth of experience and expertise, they continue to make significant contributions to event planning and management in creating successful and impactful experiences.

Jen Falding obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.A.) degree in Sports Studies and History from Brunel University College (West London Institute and Borough Road Sports College) from 1993 to 1996.
