Amanda M. Darby

Amanda M. Darby has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Amanda M. currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel at loanDepot since August 2020. Prior to this, Amanda worked as the Chief Legal Officer and Secretary at SALT Blockchain Financial Technology from 2018 to 2019. Amanda M. was responsible for providing strategic leadership to business executives and developing legal programs for all business units globally.

From 2007 to 2016, Amanda held the position of Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary at SLS. In this role, they led a large legal department and provided strategic guidance to the company's executives. Additionally, Amanda worked at Rentech as the General Counsel, Regulatory Officer, and Secretary from 2005 to 2006. Amanda M. handled securities and finance matters, including preparing financial statements and filing reports with regulatory authorities.

Earlier in their career, Amanda worked as an Assistant Corporate Counsel and Assistant Secretary at First American Financial Corporation from 2000 to 2002. Amanda M. also worked as an Associate Attorney at Stepp & Beauchamp, LLP, and as a Contract Attorney at Jackson & Wallace, LLP and McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen, LLP. Amanda started their legal career as a Law Clerk at Luce, Forward, Hamilton & Scripps, LLP.

Amanda M. Darby obtained a Juris Doctor degree from California Western School of Law from 1994 to 1997. Amanda M. also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from the University of Colorado Boulder. Amanda has additional certifications including membership in the State Bar of California, membership in the State Bar of Colorado, a Real Estate Broker license in California, and a SAFE Act Mortgage Loan Originator License from NMLS.
